I built several frames for Behn in the late 70s and early 80s. Only one frame was ever built for a SOHC. That was for Peter Bossert in Switzerland. I never saw the bike after it was finished.
I built one frame for a Suzuki and the rest for KZs.

I'm starting a land speed project that will run at BUB next year. It will be a semi-laydown frame.
The motor will be a 94 ci. Vincent injected fuel burner. Class will be : special construction, 1650cc, vintage fuel. Should be fun.

Way back in the 60's and 70's, the Vincents displayed their prominence on the oval dirt tracks.
Every Easter long weekend was a big event at the Pt Pirie, Sth Aust 1 mile track and they were magic times.
Our mate johno would probably remember some of these guys.
I can still smell that burnt fuel and dust.  8)
Welcome Vinsky, and good luck to you mate.

If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

I have a couple of good friends down under.  Russell Wright and Franc Trento. You may remember that Russell set the land speed record in 1955 at 183 mph.  Franc Trento of
eurobrit.com.au/ still has Jack Ehret's record holder Vincent.

TG,
I recently made a major move after 36 years in one place. I'm still finding things I haven't seen in almost that long. I'll see if I can find a photo. Peter Bossert, the guy I built the frame for had a performance MC business in Switzerland. Would be cool if he still had the bike.

Bill,
I've pm'd Bossert to see if he has some photos of the finished Sohc
bike as I can'f find any. I still have tooling to do another one, just needs priority.

PM me if you need contact info for Peter Bossert. He is one of my European distributors.

Jay Leno loves those Vincents. He has at least a dozen over at the garage.

Received a nice email from Pete Bossert and may have some photos of the old sohc racer. Will post them if we do.
