I agree with everyone else....great that you were able to do all of this by yourself (with the help of some very talented guys on the forum) and that you and your bro did it together and can now ride together. Pretty damn cool!

  • "Newer" and "shinier" is not necessarily "better".
This guy, DustyRags, is an undercover wrenching God.  Amazing writeup!  You inspire the rest of us.  I have to do a carb-sync and timing adjustment on my little 350F... Well done!

Aw shucks, Pilot, I'm no great wrench, just a guy who likes to learn new things and can type fast. :)

NEVER CHANGE THE OIL! You'll end up embroiled in a 50 day project, like me! Just keep topping it off, it's a Honda, it'll be fine! ;)

HAHA that is so true. I did that with my first Honda Accord. 1990 LX sedan, tan one! It had 244k on it when I traded it in for a 1995 Honda Accord...

Just a quick update- heard from the new owner on the 550 (I sold it back in October or so), and he's still loving it. Looks like he's removed the fenders, painted the pipes, updated the seat, replaced some lights, added clubman bars... looks sharp.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.
