no rain here for 5 weeks to speak of and now the trend is a good gully washer every day. go figure?the dry spell killed some stuff in the garden. but what i have replanted is doing well now.

Well, we have finally gotten some decent rain, the best kind, nice long drizzle for the last 36 hours actually. So far 1.5" of good soaking rain and the possibility of more before the low moves off to the east. I wish the mid-west farm belt would get some, they need it more than we do.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Problem for the farmers crops that don't have irrigation is if it passes the window where the plants/crop needs it it stunts development and yield sometimes irrepairably. Stock up on canned goods now, they will only skyrocket when yields are terrible in harvest.
