Wahoo!!! I`ve found a company that has 2 NOS K1 seats in stock, but they are not cheap either at $399.95 with free shipping. So If I can sell my old seat hmm I can see the possiblities of a new seat on my project..........Gary

I think  that the supply of NOS seats is running out and the people that have them realize it so up goes the price. So if you want to play you got to pay...........Gary

NOS seat came in today and man is she a beauty also passed the written test for my MC license. It felt kinda strange taking a test. Back in the day we rode on our drivers license. Now to get the Insurance so I can get the title swapped over and a tag then I`ll be ready to rock. Still have plans for new rims, spokes and eventually front and rear fenders. Next up paint and body work.......Gary

ps; Dang!!! Was gonna post some pics of the seat but wife has the camera. Will post them later.

Looks great.  Glad it's the metal pan, Greggo bought one and it was plastic and he was kinda disappointed.

Yeah Nick it is. I just said what the heck and pulled the trigger. The rest of the bike is coming along nicely and now the seat is correct. Ears, tank and side covers are still wrong but one step at a time...........Gary

I know where I can get one.  I'll have to call and ask on the price though if you are interested.

That seat looks awesome, BTW

Still having a problem with the engine skipping under load and erratic idle. Carbs are good and I`ve reset the points and timing twice. My coils and spark plug caps and wires are all original. I`m getting ready to replace these but want to be sure that I dont buy junk. Has anyone used the aftermarket coils etc from Vintagecb750.com or Z1? Any thoughts or ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.......Gary

What makes you suspect coils? I don't think I would jump to that conclusion right away.

Missing under load makes me think condensors. It would be an easier/cheaper one to check. I would also be checking the resistance of your plug caps and plugs (if they are resistor type). Are your plug wires making good connection to your plug caps? Have you trimmed the ends recently?

What do you mean by eratic idle? Does it miss at idle also?

The spark plug wires are made into the coils and I have trimmed the ends about a half inch. It misses at idle it seems like cyl i& 4 cut in an out. Replacing the old parts seemed like a good way to eliminate them from the problem...........

I had dyna coils on my 550. I could tell the difference the very first time she started.

As IW stated I would check the condensers. Can you post a quick video of the missing at mid range? What size mains are you running and what size idle jets?

To be honest Tews I had Digger rebuild my carbs and I would assume he went back with what they should have. I`ll try to get a video this afternoon of it skipping at idle but I cant get one with it under load........Gary
