Well guys, got around to putting the chain on. Just so i could make sure i got the right length. i noticed a bit of a problem. I can get the trans to shift into 1st and neutral but it does not shift up after that. Any ideas? Im praying yall dont say its a shift fork...

Are you trying the shifts while turning the rear wheel (with chain in place obviously)? It may not shift on the bench/parked if the final driven shaft isn't turning.

I have not. ill give it a try. I do vaguely remember this being an issue when i test drove it the day i bought it. I thought it was just slop in the system since the PO had ebay forward controls that were very poorly installed.

    I just found this build today and just finished going through the entire build, up to this point and this is quite a build, with lots of info being shared. Pretty cool effort. I will be checking in on the progress. Gotta give credit to those who REALLY get into a build.  ;)

alright i finally got the motivation and space to pull the engine and take a look at the transmission issue. Ill be hopefully tearing the bottom end down this weekend to see what parts i need. anyone have a good resource for doing this job?

I am getting ready to start a very similar build. Quick question thought. For the rear shock, how did you decide on the mount points for the linkage and strut?
