I just got all of this stuff for $280 DELIVERED to my house. Two full 1975 cb360's, one titled. One torn apart and sand blasted already. Can you believe that? Both bikes have about 7,000 miles on them. The whole one will be used for parts and reference. Here's a pic of what I'm starting with ;)

Ps- When I am done with the parts bike I would gladly trade the entire thing for some cl360 scrambler pipes.

$280 delivered?!  Bah, I paid almost that much just for a CJ360 parts bike with no title and I had to drive almost 100 miles to pick up.... :P

In the guidelines for the forum, it says non-4s projects are OK. I agree go ahead and post it.

Steve-O, the in boxes bike with title I paid $150 for delivered from about 100 miles away. Unbelievable! The parts bike I drove about fifteen minutes and paid $125. Some people would just rather have a clean garage I guess.

Post one. The engine was already overhauled and cleaned! I did a little more cleaning, wiped her down, and gave her a fresh coat of Cast Coat Aluminum. I love this build already, hardly no cleaning. Just painting and assembly.

You had more than your share of cleaning on the last one.

After seeing this makes me never want to polish aluminum again!  Nice find.  Can't wait to see how this turns out.

Here's the forks right out of the box of parts. No rust at all. I'm not sure that I even need the parts bike.

Spend a couple days putting it together then drive by his house and let him have a look at it.

My CJ looks almost exactly the same right now. And you're right, it's wiring time! :)

I don't want to do the wiring. The PO spliced all the control wiring to lengthen them for ape hangers :(

I just don't understand why someone would put Ape Hangers on a CB360   :o ???  ::)   Just makes no sense whatsoever...

I had a '69 CL350 and loved the bike; your thread makes me want to go out and get another one. What a great find with all of the work already done on it (and that Cast Coat Aluminum sure picks up the blue highlights, doesn't it?)!

Keep it up. I'm looking forward to the finished project!  ;D

Meh, not happy. The cheap ebay harness I got that I thought was perfect - isn't. Imagine that.  ::)
Oh well, I have a soldering iron and I know how to use it. :P

Nope, not for the correct size.
I've bought connector plug kits from http://oregonmotorcycleparts.com/connectors.html
and I got super-fast shipping.
I also bought a bag of 25 bullet connectors from VC.

Brass is soft enough to not texture the tank but Aircraft Stripper is the better method if you need to strip the tank. Just neutralize and keep oils out of finish from hands or other sources.
Sealer Primer overall if you use body filler then prime and finish. 90% of your work is base layer smooth clean surface for the paint. If you can see it or freely it in primer it will be more obvious in glossy paint.

No need for special  aircraft stripper.
Klean-Strip Strip-X (in the red can) will work fine and it cleans up with water.
It's safe for steel and aluminum.
