Yes. The intake guides have also been cut down and tapered. Intake seats are opened up to .9 of the valve OD. the exhaust seats opened up to .85

right now dont shout at me .... but , how the hell do you look at a cylinder head and tell if its ' good ' or not ? 
ive seen plenty of very shiny ones that have made rubbish power and ive had a few that looked nothing [ ten kate ones especially ] that make great power
i have no doubt this head will work well , just wondered how you all know by just looking .

That port design is basically what is in Brent's engine now minus the OS valves. He is making good power as evidenced by dyno #'s and his winning ways. There is room for improvement which is exciting.
 I agree with your statement Simon...I have seen the bling and some crappy #'s. This is especially true for one brand of ported Harley heads. Big name but various "problems".
 The head in the pic does have some basic improvements such as removing that restrictive guide boss and flattening the port short side and getting some volume in there. The real improvement is increasing the seat ID. That is were you can pick CFM quickly.

it just seemed odd that other people can simply look at a picture of a head and say ' thats good ' if that was the case you could throw your flow bench in the bin and just post a few pictures of your heads on the forum , the experts could then tell you which ones are good and which ones are not .  think of all the time that would save you mike !

I'm sure that a lot of praise for Mike's port work comes from the immense respect he has earned over many years of perfecting these heads. I too may not be an expert on visual assessment of the work pictured here, but it has me striping my spare head and boxing it to ship.

How long is the wait time for this level of work?

Good and bad today, wonone heat then the skies opened into a two hour deluge and the rest of the day was cancelled. Horrible. Bike isa tank, rode out a huge wheelie on the start andscared Deb to death!

Mr.Waller didn't mention the 1/2 lap lead he had on the field(me included) in the heat race! Hopefully the skies stay clear tomorrow and we can finish off our season on a positive note.

About 12 weeks Jimmy.....I am very busy with some outstanding projects. My 1000cc is finally only days away from starting. Only 2 years in the making. I feel guilty working on it to be honest but I have to get some riding on it this fall.
