Where to get replacement carburetor part (CB350F)
« on: October 15, 2012, 08:31:11 AM »
It appears I have lost that little cylinder that goes between carb 2 and 3. It is what the spring latches on to, to keep tension on the throttle pulley(wrong name but cant remember what it is called). For a clearer explanation it is DIRECTLY below #17 on this diagram.

It is an unmarked piece. Anyone have a clue on how I can get another one of these? I tried just hooking the spring to one of the vacuum line tubes, but I don't think its providing enough tension.

I looked at my spare set of carburetors, but it turns out they too are missing that part. Why not just cut a piece of steel rod (or even a bolt) to the correct length and call it good?

I mean it is just a cylindrical piece of steel, could be replaced by just about anything with the right dimensions

I hear what you guys are saying..and I like it. I have been super scatterbrained lately, I could just cut down a nail or something and get it right in there.

Go to the hardware store and pick up a few dowel pins.

One thing to consider, this part not only secures the bottom hook of the return spring, it also sets the spacing between carbs 2 and 3.

I'm pretty sure i have one at home, i can check tonight.   I have a 2nd set of old carbs, that have come in real handy, i've picked more than one or two parts of of them.
