Newbie from Whitehorse in the Yukon
« on: November 09, 2012, 05:58:18 PM »
Hey Guys and Gals,

I am gene from Whitehorse, Canada. I have a CB 750 project that I am working on and it would not have come as far as it has without all the great posts from this site. I thought it only fair to help others as you all have helped me and to learn more about these great machines.

I have attached a couple of photos of the CB and my other ride a 1943 Norton 16H

Cheers,

Gene.

Welcome! You don't have to apologize for the Nortons; most of us like all makes of bikes, and some of us have a bend towards Brit bikes. ;)
I've been to Whitehorse, back in the early 80's. I was impressed by the bar scene, and the music. Guess when it's below freezing at noon, you learn to focus your entertainment indoors.  ;D

Howdy!  Nice bikes!  I guess the riding season must be pretty short up there.

thanks for the warm welcome guys...

socttly, it is cold up here in the winter for sure and we do tend to do a little elbow bending on the long winter nights. Although it is cold, mostly dry snow and sunny days so not so bad at -20 to -40 C

Yeah cycle ranger the riding season is short and sweet. I am originally from New Zealand and moved to BC seven years ago, I only recently moved to the Yukon.. BC has a good riding season. I would like to head down to the lower 48 to some meets once the weather is nicer.

thanks again guys.. look forward to being apart of the groups.
