Thanks, Heffay!  I am hoping for a really good ride, not worried about my cb 750 at all (you know 1st hand just how reliable a SOHC Four is), just crossing my fingers for some decent weather next weekend to ride in.  Those guys down in central Texas will show me a good time, I am sure of it!  By the way, I love your avatar.  It looks real to me!  Proto, filled me in on your secret. ;D

I can say now that Team West 2012 was a total success!! ;D ;D The only casualties, that I'm aware of, were an ignition switch and a front fender.
My thanks to all that participated; it has been a pleasure working with you.
I only wish I could have met every one of you in person! ;D

I have a different key switch from stock and it has a flip top cover for when the key is not in it... it rattled loose and fell off entering a gas station, Elizabeth recovered it for me as I went to ask where the nearest bar in Show Low was.

Also had the clear map holder on my tank bag get unzipped by cross winds and tried to fly away... somehow I caught it as it flew off.

Battery acid overflowed on my shiny chrome exhaust, I fear the stain is not removable.

Here's the video!  If you click to watch on YouTube, make sure to click the little gear in the bottom corner of the viewer and watch in 1080HD if your internet will load it quickly enough.  There is also a fullscreen button down there too, if you're blind.
Feel free to make comments on Youtube or share on Facebook, or wherever, if you like.  It will only make our little corner of the internet more popular.     Don't be surprised when you see me posting this up in a few more locations around the forum, I don't want anyone to miss out because they don't look at this thread!

Enjoy!...

no, he rode to his parents house in Demming, NM, then trucked it back.

Thanks buddy, we really enjoyed meeting you... I'm actually considering trucking mine up to CO to ride that leg when GZ rolls thru there too.  Dunno yet though, haven't even checked the dates for that.  Glad you made it, started to wonder after several days of not hearing from you.  Scottly and I both have "mom" syndrome for our biker buds.   ;)

Sorry about the sporadic contact.  The folks don't have internet access so I could only fire up the laptop when at the sisters house.

Just came across this great event and thread, what a great read.

So what's the date for 2013, I'm in even though my CB is in a million pieces right now.

Be sure to read the rider's logs for both 2011 and 2012. As far as 2013, who knows? Wilbur, can we start a new planning thread, separate from the last two relays?

Kinda sounding like we might need to formulate regions for v3.0! How many might we need? Suggestions?
