Honda Nighthawk
« on: November 25, 2012, 05:13:37 AM »
1998 Nighthawk 750. One for sale not to far from me and looks to be in good shape. Has anybody here every had one of these bikes or know anything about them and can give me your opinion. Thought I might go check it out, but if its not considered one of Honda's better bikes and known for mechanical problems I'll leave it alone.

I did a little research on them when one was for sale around here. Some road tests etc seemed to bring up the word boring but competent quite abit.   Think the one I researched though was an earlier model.

Thanks for the reply ek. I know it should be in the Other Bike section. I love my 750KO and K6, but thought I might check out a later model Honda. I know this is a dohc and is rated at 75HP I think. No bad reviews that I've run across so far. Nothing outstanding about it, just seems to be a good all around bike.

They seem like nice bikes and I do like the styling on them . How much if I may ask is the seller asking and do you know the miles ? Compared to are SOHC bikes I think you would notice some extra zip in them especially in the upper rpm's.

I saw one year older and red on the side of the road near here. The price was $1200 and it did not last 3 days.

Of course it was 5 years ago and dollar was not as fcuked up as it is today.
