I have a lead on this CB 77. 1967 model.

Need feedback on purchase and what you guy's think is a fair price. Parts are pretty much in non-existance.

A CB77 was my first motorcycle so I'm somewhat biased- buy it! I think you may be surprised about getting parts for it. It looks to be in good shape. It's all stock. 12,500 miles. Clean tank. Ran 1 year ago then parked. Left muffler has dent, left fork ear a little bent. Titled. I have several large pics. Just needs some TLC.

I can buy it for $2500.00

I think that is a very fair price, IMHO. I've seen them advertised as high as $4k, as low as $1500 (in much worse shape than this one). If you're into it, I think it's worth it.

I always wanted one. Reason? When I was a Junior in high school (1966) I wanted to buy one. My parents said it's to large for your first bike. Ended up with a S-90 instead. Also, 1967 was the year I graduated.

No problem. I've used them twice before...tedious compared to most online parts suppliers, but he has stuff you just can't find easily.

Is the kickstart shaft broken? I have a vague recollection of selling a lot of those RH engine sidecovers to replace ones with cracks near the kickstart shaft, (thats a 40 years past memory, I dont quite trust it). Looks like an oil leak on the front upper left near exhaust valve tappet cover.

Otherwise looks pretty nice and complete.

When you replace the kickstarter, remember it kicks forward not towards the rear. Cliff.

Yeah, it sure is! Nice find. I have super large pictures and it is in fact gone.

What parts I can find are very expensive. Doing five of these Honda bikes (various years/models) not sure if I want to tackle this one.

They are hard to find in this condition. I'll sleep on it.

Here is the engine number. Waiting on frame vin.

Well, at least you can use the electric start.
My CL175K0 has a broken kickstart shaft, and, it is kickstart only.

I did find that the engine side cover 11330 268 020 is no longer available from CMS Holland or Service Honda, maybe available (at least its listed) at Western Hills $136.

Not sure what is going on but at this time it's been three days since I talked to the seller on the phone. Still waiting on the vin number and when I wanted to see it in person complete silence.

Might be a scam but unless I can see it in person it's a no go.

Its a decent bike but may be of mixed heritage......or sold as a '67 in late '66. The case cover may be good. Its the internal kick-shaft with a spur-gear that is missing.....along with the kicker. They were only meant to be used in case the starter failed or a dead battery.

I sold a similar bike for $2200 in 2010 and the next owner resold it for similar money just last spring. Parts are out there and a few are in my garage. Five or six of us are planning a 2016 ride on 305 twins around Lake Superior. We did it in 2006 to commemorate my brother-in-laws original ride on his then new 305 Scrambler in 1966. Come on along......bring your passport to get home

Scam probably. They are great bikes. I have a '67 and I love riding it. 2500 was a good price for that. They can be had in that price range but can sell much higher if they are real nice.

That's my bike now. It was brokered by White Knuckle Performance in Phoenix. I went down to look at it and took it home on Christmas Eve. Thank you Santa.

After getting it home I had to clean the carbs and the petcock was awful. No gas to the left carb. after cleaning and a tuneup. It runs strong. I think the owner was frustrated because of the clogged petcock. Allegedly he spent $1000 on carb work, a new wiring harness, and a paint job. I can't believe no one cleaned the petcock while the tank was off to get painted.

This bike was brokered by John at White Knuckle Performance on Greenway and Cave Creek Rd. in Phoenix. I went down and saw it fire up and made a deal and bought it. the bike has some issues and I am working through them but it runs.
