i don't know how to say it without sounding big headed but you guys should really see my garage. it is about as basic a shop as you can get with hand tools and such. my biggest equipment is a tig welder (lincoln precision 225) which i made an extra big sacrifice and a left nut to aquire over a 2 year period, a lathe which i pretty much don't use except to make spacers. some misc tools such as drill, grinder, torch ect. my whole point is you don't have to throw thousands of dollars into cnc'ing, machining and all that. i documented the whole process right here for everyone to see. the total budget on this bike was just under $2600 which is broken down to: $100 for the purchase of the bike (thanks to my friend!), $1200 for all the chrome and polishing(which i could do without but it's nice if you can swing it!) and the balance on materials such as steel, tires lights registration ect ect ect. anyone can do this at home with some effort and imagination. you don't need tomorrow's technology folks.........still making them like yesteryear here!  8)

You forgot one thing- a hell of a lot of skill and vision!

But still, thanks for the reminder! It's really making me want to get back in the shop. :)

Veloce Racer turned out incredible!  I just caught up from January, and you delivered one hell of a scoot!  $2,600 and you get to ride that around town?!  Awesome.
