The SOHC RC327 CAM  sold for $287, maybe those folks would pay $300 for a set of perfect 33mm Mikuni round slides ???
TREY :  Remember the warnings for putting that cam in a SOHC 750 MOTOR , you do not want your motor sounding like BO JINGLES tap dancing on the tops of those pistons !!    YOU-ALL HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY.................... AND A GREAT DAY AT THE TRACK IN 2015[/b

Hahaha, thats a good one Pops. Always check piston to valve clearance and valve to valve clearance when using a performance cam.

If I'm looking at both parts diagrams right, from the picture, i would assume a swap of the primary gear( pinion) from the GL onto the SOHC shaft is doable??? The internal shafts seem to have the same configuration.   This solves the hivo chain problem once a tensioner is fabricated.   Comments anyone??????

Frank,
I build Hondamatics - stroker Hondamatics, not clutch versions. I can't give you what I've not done. You've got the right people here to give you the details.
Other thoughts - You need to add a tensioner to the primary chain for the stretch that will be happening with drag racing. The primary hy-vo chain needs to be built or sourced for the application. There's no major surprise expenses here.
Does using Bear's recommendations on the 1100F rods with the factory part number pistons allow you to not need any spacers beyond available head/base gasket thicknesses? I ran a spacer using steel cb750 rods and off the shelf (at the time) Arias 73 mm pistons. In my application it shifted the powerband down which improved my ET about 3 tenths. You'll go quicker so long as it shifts.... ::)

Keith, you already answered my question in a previous post so disregard my comments above on swapping gears. Yeah, its true, "reading is fundamental". Man, i'm getting slack in my old age. Can't retain anything.
