swapping cb400f handlebars

i'm putting clubman bars on my cb400f in the next day or so.....

anything to look out for? 
other than the reason my turn signals aren't working, which i'll hopefully find.

i love babies...
with a nice chianti sauce and a side of fava beans

Just make sure you have them tilted properly so as to not whack your gas tank at full turn.

Wire routing from hand controls is a concern, I had to drill 4 holes in my bars to make it work (2 on each side) and just be careful routing your brake line, if you put too sharp a kink in it the brake may stick.

Overall not a tough job, took me 1-2 hours, and WELL worth it. Feels like riding a significantly underpowered, underbraked R6. I love the new position!

the stock master cylinder will interfere with the tach cable. If you have a modern m/c that connects in the back then you wont have a problem. also, finding an acceptable routing for the clutch cable took some time. i personally like them, just make sure you can tolerate the position before you go through all that work.

yeah, that's good advice.  think it'll be fine as i more or less hug the tank, but that would blow.

check on the turning, what do you mean on the holes?  one rectangle in the middle won't work?

One rectangle in the middle, as is on the stock handlebars would work, but running your wires around that tight (90 degree) bend will be very difficult if not practically impossible (at least it was on mine).

2 holes on each side, one where the wires enter into the bar from the actual switch, and then one coming straight out the end of bar that your handgrips will be on. I'm not explaining this well. If it's unclear, let me know.

I experienced no problems with my stock master cylinder, just took some minor adjustments to make work.
