is she hotter because of the bike?
« on: July 18, 2006, 11:50:43 AM »
this morning i stopped at my local coffee shop to get an iced coffee. parked out front was a pristine CB350 Four (72/73). I parked my truck and checked it out. so i go in to get my coffee and who was the only person in the place with a helmet?  a really cute girl.  imagine that, pretty and good taste in motorcycles.

of course i dropped the ball. if only i'd had my 750 running........ or my vintage jap mc t-shirt.   now of course i have to go to the coffee shop everyday at the same time for the rest of my life til i see her again.   damn

You should have gotten the license plate number, and have a cop friend (if you have any) run the plate to see where she's from 8)

actually i think this is the third time i've seen her. i live in the city so i work on my bike in the road.  a couple of weeks ago a cute girl rode by me on her bicycle, smiled and said "hi."  i then saw her again.  i think it was her. i may be crazy.

Brad,
Mate...

Next time you run into her, just mention the SOHC forum and the info etc. she can get here.
Don't blow the second chance - you will get one if you're meant to - if you don't, well...

Any cute chicks on 350's here on the forum who ran into Brad the other day?
C'mon, Speak up.
CB750 K1 - undergoing restoration (on hold)
CB750 K2 - Wanted - More time to work on her
CB1300S - the most awesome bike i've owned yet
Z1000 1977 - Wanted - a head in rebuildable condition

Yeah, that's a totally normal, balanced, not-psychotic-at-all thing to do.  :o :o

You can't drop a ball with your hands in your pockets- the ball just keeps bouncing off of you and eventually no one will toss it anymore when they figure out you don't now how to play.  How many times is she going to have to figure out how to be seen by you for you to say something?  She's playful, intelligent, fun, willing to take chances, good looking, artsiefartsie- she's too good for you. You're doing her a favour by swallowing your tongue.  What are you- 16?

OK, I'm reliving my past.  Want to win her over? Walk up and say, "I'm a blithering idiot, but you seem interesting.  May I attempt to embarrass myself?"  If her smile doesn't cause instant sunburn, I'll eat my hat.

Ain't that the damn truth! ;D

Not only that, but they especially like it when a guy is willing to make an idiot of himself, in public, for her sake.  Why is that?

So, is a girl really hotter 'cause she has a bike? Great, maybe my luck will improve. The most luck i've had(so far) is a guy giving me a push and asking why such a kittke girl has such a big bike

AHA! So is this why my wife now likes my CB550 more than the
GS450 I have offered to fix for her?

Women do look better on SOHC's than GS's for sure, so takes Uncle Ernie's advice
and use his line. ;D

I agree with the norm.
Being newly single after 5 years , and back in the "game" , I am still blown away at what a simple "hi" can get started. I have started talking , and eventually went out with chicks that I would otherwise think were WAY outta my league , all by saying something like "hey, how are ya today" , or some other BS line like that. ;D

What's the worst that could happen, she acts like a #$%* towards you ?
Then u just walk away , but atleast you put forth some kinda effort...
And seeing a chick on a bike is a super easy situation to get a conversation going..

" We should go for a ride sometime in the near future..."
" If you ever need any help working on that thing let me know..."

etc....

I'd be careful asking her if she needs help "working on the bike".  She might take offence cut you down real quick.  If she needs help in the future she'll ask you.  Never approach her with a line  ::)  she'll know you're trying too hard.  Just comment on the bike.  This is a subject you know something about, right???   ;D  Planning something to say will only make you look dorky... like a Trekkie at a Star Wars Convention...
