Hi Scottly:  so you have Team 3?  Great (now I can be lazy again and wait for instructions  :-*).  When do you think roughly it will be coming through our way (California)?  Just need to plan so I can be available.  I know it is starting in March from Team 1.

Hi Lisa. Have you heard from Sal yet? I'm guessing our leg will probably start around the end of April or early May.

No word from Sal/Greenhornet.  Only heard from Matt (who signed up).  Those LA types! I know there are more SOHCs in LA than just the few that never seem to show for the rally.   ;)

That's great.  I wonder if his cousin "Triumph" will tag along again...they were fun to ride with.

Do we have an idea of the general route and dates yet? I'm guessing meet someone (you) near Rosamond and then ferry the lil' guy up the coast and out to NV? Late March/early April-ish? Perhaps a socal crew meeting you and then rolling up to SLO or Big Sur to meet the Bay Area folks?

Thought we would get The Lil' Guy around end of April early May (early May works better for me)?  I am more than happy to ride out to Rosamond again (seems all roads lead there on these rally's  :o).  Or perhaps Greenhornet/Sal & his pals (glad you are coming along again) can go out there and meet Scott and swing by Santa Barbara and then I will ride all the way to San Francisco to meet the Northern crew.

I'm thinking the route this year will be basically the same as last year, except GZ will be traveling the opposite direction. I hoping will we get more AZ riders involved.

As much as I love riding down through Big Sur, if you made it all the way up here that would make it easier to get the next leg going. We could maybe take him out to Winnemucca or Elko or even as far as West Wendover or SLC to meet curemode from SLC and Ofreen if he's down w/ doing this part of the tour. Not that I'm really stoked to spend a couple days on Rt. 80, I'd much rather wind down the coast on the 1.

I have no problem taking him North (maybe some of those flaky LA riders will venture out and come with me) so that you don't have to double back all the time. Maybe you could meet me in Santa Cruz or Monterey so I can have company going through San Francisco  ::)?  We will work it out one way or another.

I'd much rather ride the 1 rather than the "slab" myself. ;)
If there ends up being a large stretch of no-mans land, we can easily resort to the "box". Decide on the route that will be the most enjoyable for all involved.

Speaking selfishly if the LA riders brings it to the Central Coast it will be a PCH1 ride all the way into Northern CA...FattMatt can meet us and loop back around I know he is not adverse to that however I cannot keep up with his riding  :o(that I know).  He was referred to as "one Fast Bastard" if I recall correctly back in 2011.   8)

It's not a matter of being selfish; it's putting the emphasis on ENJOYABLE. ;)
The way things are shaping up in AZ, my preference is to ride to NM with heffay and shenanigans, then ship GZ to Sal, for the trip north.

If Justin and Proto don't get GZ to NM, then mail him to me and we will head west. I can go either direction, but not both. I've already done the western route, so the eastern route, taking back-roads, would be a nice change. ;D
