Going through the sign-up list, we have 7 potential NorCal riders:
#23 fatmatt650, Pacifica
#24 NecroPsyChroNauTron (yer user name is way too long, dude. ;)) San Francisco
#35 74750K4, Santa Cruz
#45 grumpy, Gilroy (he's grumpy because of the smell. ;D)
#48 geminimotors, Oakland
#69 kcbarsos, San Jose
#88 Dave Voss, Napa

Well I love Santa Cruz  :D so I can guarantee that So Cal and Central Coast contingency will get GZ-3 minimally to there and deliver GZ-3 to the doorstep of 74750K4 if he is still in.

Did you get your brake fixed, Lisa?
I have new foam in my seat, fresh oil (AutoZone here has Valvoline MC oil on sale for $3.99/quart. Hey, no oil thread cracks! ;)), relocated the fairing and headlight upwards a bit, as it was hard to get below the wind-blast when laying on the improvised tank-bag last year. I'm just about ready to ride, well ahead of schedule for once. ;D
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Will GZ be coming through Rosamond/APE the weekend of Memorial Day?  May 25-27 is the 3 day weekend?  If so I can't ride as I have family coming into town from out of state.

Scott:
Yup all fixed.  When I was messing with it to fix it missed the simple solution to move the splines as the lever/connector was not perpendicular instead it was at an angle.  Someone just put it together off angle and for some reason when I had it apart to try and fix I thought the splines could not be adjusted back.  So of course, operator error once again..but now I know. :-*
Ready to ride...

I didn't realize that is Memorial Day weekend. Yes, the ride to Rosamond would have been Saturday morning, 5-25. :(

Justin confirmed today that he will be in Central Texas this weekend for the handoff.
So, on Sunday, 5/5, he will be headed NW to hook up with Proto in NM.

So... that means to me that we need to push our date up to meet Proto.
By the time the 18th, like we originally planned, rolls around they'll be in love and we won't be able to pry the lizard out of Proto's grasp.
I'll keep the 11-12 and 18-19 open for whichever works best.

It is HOT here already, and it will only get worse... or better if you are a lizard!

I was thinking he would be heading home to Lubbock on Sunday, 5-5?
So the meet-up in 4 -corners is Sunday evening 5-5? :o
Can you Socal guys ride on 5-11 instead of 5-18? (5-12 is Mother's Day...)

If Justin doesn't chime in, I'll update you guys on Sunday when all is confirmed.
I don't know if he's going home first?

I just PMd Justin and asked him to chime in here.
If we have to be in 4-corners the evening of Sunday 5-5, we will need to know sooner than that. Heff, could you even get a day off to return home on Monday?
Would it be possible to have the meet-up at 4-corners on 5-11, and the start of the Socal leg on 5-18?

Whoa!!!  Justin told me he wants to do the TX/NM on 5/11 or 5/12.  Don't make any changes until he confirms the date!  Scottly, my pm from him definitely says the 11th or 12th.  My take on the posts is that GZ would be enjoying the TX hill country this weekend with Justin taking the lizard home with him at the end of that ride and then handing it off to me the following weekend.  I would then get him across NM over the following week and meet the AZ riders in 4 corners on the 18th.

Ok, now that that's settled, moving on to the SoCal-NorCal leg:
Pat, I'm truly sorry that your schedule conflicts with the relay, but family is more important than the transport of a plastic lizard. Enjoy your weekend. :)
Without the side trip to Rosamond, Mooshie and GreenHornet might make it further north by the end of day 5-25? Once you SoCal guys escape from LA, you make a left turn instead of a right turn near Apex's location, and enjoy the back roads between there, Mooshie and Santa Maria, if you care to ride that far.

okay so 5/25 works for me but early June will not as I am at a conference in Palm Springs.  Sounds like LA contingency will be coming up the 126 and can then drop to the 150 (instead of the 101) and my place is just off of the 150 in Carpinteria (south of Santa Barbara).
Hopefully that date will be a keeper ;) and then off toward northern CA.  Looking forward to it.

I am still on to meet up with you guys at Four Corners.  I might ride one of my more comfortable bikes rather than my 750s though.  I wont be carrying the lizard anyway so my butt would appreciate a nice cushy seat and my wrist will appreciate the cruise control on my RoadGlide.  you guys wont shun me will you?  i have already ridden nearly 1000 miles this year on an SOHC and I might pick up some more once it heads back east across KS and MO

I sure wish we could get Bob3050 from Lompoc interested this year; his memory of those back-roads is much fresher than mine. ;)

I haven't checked in for a couple of weeks while I was on the East Coast, and now I'm pretty confused as to the SoCal schedule. Scott, when do you now foresee arriving in Joshua Tree/29 Palms? Rosamond and APE still in the plans? Track ride? For me personally riding on Memorial Day weekend is fine, even better in some ways having the extra day off.

Doc, both Joshua Tree and Rosamond are out. :( The current plan is for you guys to meet up in the LA area, then head towards Castaic, then Carpenteria, taking back-roads as much as possible, on 5-25.

Yes, definitely :( about missing Rosamond. OK, then, so if that's the plan I'll be there. Hope to meet Mooshie, and .............with that route, hopefully Bob from Lompoc, who I met and road with at a show last year, will be able to join us. Good guy.

yeah - but it's nowhere near as bad as where gemini is down in the lower urine district

FYI - I'm lurking but not posting. I'm still in.
I'm probably good for about a 100mi from here - depending on the day(s)
