Is it a left handed blivet? From the counter-sunk holes I would guess that it's an appearance item.

ok, another update...

phase two.... my TIG is set up pretty good now, welds are shiny rainbow colours. really getting into my new TIG machine.

i took some more of that lovely 316 stainless and trimmed it to an approx circle then chucked the now discs on a mandrel i lathed up and continued to machine them perfectly round. Then i got my hands on some 326 Stainless 76mm ID pipe. cut several different thickness bits that are dependent on my.....well, thickness of stuff that fits in there. My machined round discs fit into the 76mm slithers of pipe. then TOG'd up as can be seen below.

i dont need four btw, just a couple extra just in case...

i think this one will give it away:

thanks for looking :)

ok, i received most of my parts, at least all of them from abroad. David Silver Spares for most of my OEM replacement parts and Z1 Enterprises for my NGK OE soark plug caps and Vesrah complete gasket set...

so my build is going to be getting a move on soon. just need to find time now. doing my phase test with my appyship in 3 weeks, writing engineering exams in 2 weeks and and and....so its going to be a hectic one!

anyway, on a lighter note, here are my beauts 95% completed. just need to make a slit in the mounting ring, weld two 2mm 10x10mm plates either end of the slit and a nut and bolt for adjustability.

there bar ends including the plates i will make tomorrow, will consist of 20 individual parts including nut and bolt....wow, why do i get myself into making such complex parts hahaha ???

the below was also 30mm i had to machine down to 20mm, drill a 8mm hole through and intercept it with a 5mm i later tapped m6 for a locking grub screw.

The rings below were also originally 30mm SS round bar by the way, a ton of machining! :o

the end round bar was 10mm, down to 8mm and filed flats on the end to slip into the end of the arms

so yeah, you may be wondering how i am going to mount them to my handlebars????

hint, flicker ;D
