Topic: Will a 74-76 CB550 rear fender fit on a 71 CB500?

I'm looking to replace my cracked fender on my 1971 CB500. I saw one in decent shape for sale on this forum but it's off a 74-76 CB550. Will this bolt onto my bike and have all the mounting holes line up or should I just hit ebay?

After '72 I believe, they had a different taillight assembly (larger lamp, and bigger base)...Otherwise, you can get it to fit.  Not sure if you'll need longer bolts, but it's the same width as the earlier ones.

As long as they complete with rear light bracket and rear light they will all interchange
