30 odd years later.
« on: March 06, 2013, 02:45:38 PM »
Hi there fellow Honda people. I just bought a basket case 74 K2 750 and will be rebuilding from the ground up. This is my first bike since the one in my avatar in 79 which was another box of bits that I put together. I'm looking forward to the journey once more and I'm having a ball pulling the new one down and hoping I don't need too many engine parts. They sure have gone up a tad since 79. Cheers. Nic.

Welcome Nic, that old bike you had was a dunstall kitted bike, if you had that now in Aus it would be worth a pretty penny... ;D ;)
750 K2 1000cc
750 F1 970cc
750 Bitsa 900cc
If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

Hi Retro, thanks and yeah, I'm well aware of the Dunstall gear on it mate. I did the paint job as well and sourced the exhaust as well, geez I thought exhausts were expensive back then :o
I'd love to put another Dunstall 4 into 2 on this new one but no can get anymore. I put 60Ks on that bike, sold it to a bloke who wrote it off on the way home from my place  :(  All that work n for what. It's taken since then "79" to feel like getting another one n I've been looking for a basket case coz I think I enjoy the doing up of these bikes more than the riding but I reckon I'll keep this one n pass it on when I croak.

Welcome to the site.  I would be interested in any info or more pics of your old Dunstall CB750.
Thanks
Scott

Thanks for the welcome, unfortunately those are the only 2 pics I took of the bike. Motor was stock. The seat and tank came with the bike n I had to buy the exhaust from the local Honda shop where I worked as a mechanic for two years.  So yeah, can't say much more about the bike. Cheers.
