Here is a shot of me and my beautiful wife, it was taken last month at the inlaws home.  My mother-in-law takes our picture everytime we visit, so she doesn't forget what we look like.

Took this one right after I walked in the door after getting home from the hospital. Hadn't even washed the blood off yet.

Geez mate, what happened? ???
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Guy in a truck pulling a trailer pulled out in front of me, and I swerved to miss him. As soon as I got next to his trailer,  he pulled a U-turn. Locked the rear and slid it sideways, but didn't have time to lay it down before I hit. Blammo, right into the driver's side door. I walked away in surprisingly good shape. I got lucky as all hell.

<--- I came out a lot better than the bike did.

Well I'm glad you're here to tell the tale mate, and I hope his insurance is buying you a new bike and riding gear? Congrats on surviving! :)

Already bought new bike, a 76 CB750. Got one heck of a deal on it, too. There's a post around here somewhere about it. They do still owe for the gear, though.

Bikes are less durable than people, for sure. I totally destroyed a bike wearing a t-shirt, shorts and no helmet (no excuse for that, really, it's always the one time you're just riding down your street and back with no gear that #$%* happens), I got a bit of road rash and a bruised rotator cuff. Walked away, no ER, but the bike was totalled.

You should dress exactly like that when she's older and the first guy comes to the house to take her on a date. :o  ;D ;D

You know, it's going to be a decade and a half until that guy comes, but I'm already pissed at him. I should feel sorry for him.
