Maybe not so fascinating... and whether it's art.. well, I dunno but it is my favorite place on the planet.  It is a small island on a small lake in Wisconsin.  From a photographer's perspective, it's far from perfect but it is my favorite ;) (D7000, handheld 9 frames, Photamatix (HDR), 27mm, F4, ISO varies, shutterspeed: 1/80)

Anyway back to the subject of this thread, here are a couple of a sunrise at Marazion in Cornwall.








Here is a picture of some rocks that some farmer just left lying around in his paddock ;D

Just read something about this photographer. Apparently he travels the world visiting volcanoes, waiting hours for shots like this.
