Topic: CB400f Headlight size?

Does anyone know the size of the headlight for a cb400f? I just bought my new little project and I think someone changed the bucket on me??  I replaced the headlight with a 6 3/8 Candlepower unit and it seems to small for the bucket. The light it's self is much better but the fit is alittle odd. I now have a gap of approx 1/4 inch all the way around it?  I could have bought the wrong unit or the bucket has been changed ? I "think" the guy said he changed the lamp with one from another bike, cb600, but I really can't remember.  This is the one I bought

On my 77 the stock bucket is 7-1/4"

Mr powderman or anyone else with a 400. Please please please 
Could you please, for all things cb400f, look and see if your headlight bracket is strait? Mine has a bow in it. Im also having trouble getting the beam to aim properly. Mind looks like it was pushed in. The back of the bucket hits the bottom of the ign switch. I cant get the bucket to point down far enough? I Just came back from a ride and all the signs were bright as day. Lol.

Looks pretty obvious that someone stuffed a 7" bucket (prob from a 550 or a 750) onto your 400f for whatever reason. You can either send back the bulb/reflector and exchange for a 7", or try to obtain an original 6 3/8" housing.

Thanks guy's! I bought this from a friend of mine for a fair price and it needs some serious lovin'. Mileage is at 35.5K and it shows. Brake lines, the head light thing I have now, rear brakes, and the cam tensioner adjuster is broken off and drilled out half crooked in the case . Next winter it comes down to the frame.
