74 CB550k, slowly but surely, she's coming along
« on: August 14, 2015, 09:41:56 AM »
This is what the bike looked like when I first bought it.

Put a stock seat on, added drag bars, and changed the tail light.  I'll be rebuilding the carbs in the winter time.  Might even rebuild the engine.  Honda emblems fell off, so that's on the list too.  Debating if I should stay with the black and chrome or do a tan and chrome scheme.

Much better seat!  I like the black and chrome look. What's the story with the side cover cut-outs for the pods?  Did you dremel them out?

the original owner bought pods that were too big.  He compensated by having a rubber tube curve out with the pod and cut out the holes in the  side cover to clear everything.   I changed that with shorter pods.  Everything is all flush now.
