I am interested in swapping the front caliper out on my 1973 CB500 restoration. The bike is not going to be a complete back to original restoration. This is a bike I plan to keep for a long time and make into my own and improve a great deal on. I've already started to replace the Phillips head bolts with SHCS. Now that I have graduated and have a job I can actually start working on this bike. So the first thing is replacing the stock front caliper as it is seized and so is the master cylinder. A little more stop power from stock can't hurt either. So an update is in order.
If anyone has experience or can point me to some threads that have done that would be cool. Now before you ask, yes I used the search function. For quite some time. Found nothing on here or anywhere, though I likely used the wrong wording.
I am thinking of using the front right caliper from a CBR and then the reservoir as well. Just want some opinions before I just jump in and get it and have to fabricate the crap out of it. Though I work in a machine shop so that is doable.
Thanks everyone.
