Got the cylinders off. Cleaned the cylinders and the outside. First installation I forgot to install the cylinder o rings. Are they suppose to fit inside the wall and block? If yes there is no way with these.
This particular "fit" is tighter than any other O-rings in the 550 engine, that's for sure. It is a 40% compression of the thickness. I usually press them in at 4 places first, like at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, then in between those spots, and finally slide around on them with the flat side of the screwdriver. Otherwise they extrude and stretch out, and you end up with an extra 1 cm of length that won't go anywhere! At least you have the softer silicone O-rings, which are the easier ones to install.
Without these O-rings, a slow weep of oil works its way up the bores over time. This becomes a slow but constant weep at the head gasket joint unless you have a genuine Honda sealant-impregnated head gasket that melts itself shut over time. On 750 engines that are old enough that these cracked and broke, they exhibit this trait consistently.
