ID this tank?
« on: June 21, 2013, 05:00:42 PM »
I really like this tank, but I am not sure what it originally started out as. I'm almost positive it's a custome job. Any ideas?

Are you looking for one that style for a 550?

See I think it may be a 550 tank. I'm having a hard time deciding which it is.
Yes, that's what I'd like for my bike. If its the original I'm not afraid to get out the hammer ;)

Not quite sure exactly but it looks like a stock tank for a 77-78 550 but with added knee dents.

The tank I got is a 500t that has little knee dents originally.

Look for a cb500t tank they have some knee dents (somewhat) already. It will fit with a little altercation not much. I have one on mine and it works fine.
I've done a lot of things in my life that I'm not proud of...and the things I AM proud of, "are disgusting"

It's got the 550F gas cap panel on top with custom knee dents.
