cl350 carb sync
« on: August 09, 2006, 01:33:50 PM »
does anybody know how to do a carb sync on a cl350?  i have a friend with one, and though i haven't been able to check it out, he claims there are no ports like on all the SOHC4s to put the brass fittings into.

just curious, not my bike.

I used to hold my hand over the exhaust pipes until the back pressure felt the same on each side.

I'm not sure of the procedure but it is supposed to be done by sound...

I briefly read it in my manual. It's kind of a set this then set that method. If you can't find the proceedure send me a message and I'll scan the manual pages for you.

You only need to use two senses for this job, sight and sound. Adjust the cables so that both butteflies open & shut similtaneously. Continue to just barely crack the throttle and release while watching and listening that they both shut down at the same time. You should hear just one click as they shut together. Once you set the opening sync, check at full throttle they should be very close there as well.
