750: Purple Clutch springs & slipping
« on: November 04, 2015, 10:12:58 PM »
Alright so when i put my engine together i noticed the clutch springs were painted purple. I figured they were some sort of performance part and since they fit they got used. A while ago i think i found out what they are:

I think they are Circycle springs?!?!? The only problem is Im managing to slip the clutch so i was wondering how much stronger these are over stock? Also Im looking for some recommendations on some stiffer springs that can hold down a 836 kitted engine, hopefully without too much extra lever effort required

These should work or do you have slipping clutch?
Use Motorcycle oil.
I have something similar from a Clutch kit with +1 plate (probably EBC). Washers under the springs.

I'll try without washers and new Barnett springs next year when I think that the washers will allow the spring to not seat centered and will cause heavy scuff marks on the towers for clutch bolts. I have a used complete F2 clutch with cover that I might use.
