Looks like the left side exhaust bracket that doubles as a stop for the center stand.

Does look similar to an exhaust bracket from a 550F I am working on.

Also helps if you say what bike you're workin' on...

Everyone knows it's the doohickey that bolts under the other thing. Looks like the thingamabob on the other side but not the same.  Good luck.

You guys are hilarious, ;D

I am working on a 1976 Honda CB550F.

I did take pictures but obviously not enough. I've been feeding off this forum on a daily basis and appreciate all the information here.
ekpent, can you locate this part on your 550F ?

Here are a couple of pics, one during teardown, and the other is the start of the rebuild.

Need to remove that axle and fit your chain tensioners............oh, and a wheel.   ;)
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Hey TCC- When I get to my shop again I will be happy to look at it,take a pic etc to compare to yours and see if it matches. Its in a box over there right now. Hard to see in this pic,1976 CB550F but it was being used to mount this Mac muffler.seems it was rigged in there, not sure if the plate was exactly where it was supposed to be.
In the meantime I am sure there is another 550F owner, one with an original exhaust who can take a peek down there.

I dig the luggage- I've been trying to find an example where the rack is used the same time as the grab bar. What kind is that?

I agree but it could have something to do with the muffler bearing or the bulb stretcher. IMHO
On second thought the bulb stretcher would only cause problems with the IDOIT lights. JK
