The news here is all over that flooding in CO. May not be over yet, there is a tropical storm brewing in the Gulf.
We're hoping for some rain here, desperately needed.

We've had over 4" of rain in the last 3 weeks, accompanied by thunder and lightning. Had a short down-pour yesterday, and got 7/16" in about 20 minutes. Had 9/16" Tuesday in about the same amount of time. Not flooding, but definitely wet and humid when the sun comes out..

I meant, had not CO previously been dry? They have needed rain, just not all at once like it has been coming.
Weather patterns have been odd the past few years, that is for certain.

Last year we had 4" of rain in a 36 hour period in July. We haven't had a decent amount of snow in the winter for over ten years??

I saw myself this July what people in Arizona - typically -  call rain, after few days I didn't bother to close the  tent  :)

sometimes it is light but having lived in Tucson and Sierra Vista for 8 years I would say they have rain, although sometimes the showers are brief. They have significant flash flooding as the water doesn't soak into the ground very fast because of the soil. So, a brief shower can still be dangerous. The photos and videos from Boulder's creek I have seen the equivalent or worse in AZ many times. Just not as news worth in AZ unless it is significant.  Rillito River in Tucson crested its banks a few years back, it made the national news.

Hang in there CO it will pass.

Man I hope your safe, It really looks bad in some areas.

Here in California if it rains 1/2" its the lead story on the news. The roads to the mall might get shut down.
Stay dry my friend.
