Topic: 1965 CB160 frame question

I just picked up a really nice cb160 and I'm in the process of doing a restore. Most of the bike was already disassembled and parts are bagged but while working on getting the swing arm off I noticed this and it didn't look right to me. The tube that the rear brake lever rides on has a slight bend to the rear of the bike like maybe the lever or tube struck something while moving. Is this bent or is this the way it's supposed to be?

Are we looking at the swing arm or frame? Either way it looks bent. Wouldn't know why it would be at an angle.

It's not the swing arm. This is a picture of the frame upside down.
And yes I did find this on CL

Yours is bent.

Yes it was matched to an unopened can of the origional paint.

Cool! Not sure if I will paint mine but hang onto the chip if you have one please.

I'm not sure which way I will go on mine. Might clean up.

Nothing to lose by trying to straighten.. If you cant, you may have to put in new piece.

Actually if I can't straighten it then rear sets for sure.

  Find a piece of solid bar stock that matches the ID about 2-3 feet long.  Heat the piece up, insert the bar stock in there and hit it with a hammer.

Or a tube bored or shimmed to fit the outside..probably bend easy with a 2foot bar
