hi all im from uk posted this on uk site finally after 2 years i've started restoring my cb750 1970 us spec and i've got a problem does anyone know what this bracket is and where it goes its not on the part list drawings anywhere

It looks like bare steel. If it was always bare steel, it's either from inside the engine or inside a drum brake... but I don't recognize it. If it was painted but you've stripped it... it could be a bracket from somewhere on the frame but again I don't recognize it.

thanks for reply it was painted its the light its powder coated now can't remember where i took it off from though wondering if it was from main stand or chain area

Might be stand stop, from a 4-1. How long is it and what is the slot size.. Width..like what size bolt? ,
 Hold it up to your left rear peg bracket, see if it looks like it belongs.

tried it it does look like it fits on rear footpeg it did have a 4-1 exhaust on it and the lug on the bracket sits on top of the frame next to the hole  i reckon youre right thanks
