mmmm lets see how good you lads are - have a pic sort of think its a 550 ?
but wont know till sat any one got any ideas

Going by the lack of front mudguard stay and the shape of the top of the carbs I'd say it's a 550K3, but I could be wrong.

judging by the tank and the carbs thats a 77-78 cb550.

The slight step in the seat would narrow it down to '78 550K since that was a one year only seat on the 550.

That slight step - if it's original - would make it a K4.

It has a gas tank cover lid like a 78.

Buddyseat is not original. Striping on tank tells me it's a K3 and not a K4

The latter looks like a K4 with a K3 tank to me. If I'm not mistaken, slight step seat and sidepanels are K4.

Didn't think you Yanks had the CBX550, it was a twin cam and most of them had a factoty fairing. I ought to know as i got an 82 one sat outside with only 29,000 on the clock. They had wierd, coverd inboard discs
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

no worries wazza,hope this works out well for everyone,i still dont understand how the cops didnt let danny know they had hes bike,and how did they find it,it had the chrome painted over etc?didnt they cross refference eng/frame numbers?
