Well I don't need science or a book telling me what I didn't see. I know what I saw. It's like it happened yesterday. It's something I will never forget. The second experience was the same feeling I got when I was 11yrs old. It was a experience that to this day I will not go out a night with out my gun. I live in the country there are lots of critters that run around out here. There have been several big cat sightings in our area. Kansas university (ku) trail cam has caught one on video. My wife had one run out in front of coming home from work neighbors have seen it I've seen tracks along the wakarusa  river but I know for fact 200% what I saw was not a cat, deer, livestock of any sort, or a human being. It was a Bigfoot I honestly believe that there is enough uninhabitable land that something like this can exists.  I have done tons of research and I'm very comfortable with my findings on the Bigfoot. At least I'm no the only nutcase that believes in it. thanks for all the replies. I was just seeing what other people believed in. Hopefully one of these days it will be proven that they do exist but I feel sorry for them if man catches one we all know what the end results will be.

I don't understand what big cat sightings would have to do with Bigfoot.  Just because some area has occasional big cat sightings that makes it also habitat for Bigfoot?  Cats are solitary creatures...humans...even early species are/were social beings.  They have to be in order to survive.  Human primate species living solitary lives is nothing but a path to extinction.  When we evolved to walk upright the pelvis architecture had to change so the birth canal got narrower.  The gestation period  shortened so the baby would not be too big.  With our bigger brains we had to be born earlier and less developed.   Human babies required much more care and for longer periods.....so we developed into social creatures.  Like Hillary said "It takes a village to raise a child".  For Bigfoot to survive they would have to live in family or clan groups maybe 10-25 individuals to have any chance of long term survival....anything less is a path to extinction.  You can't have one there, one here, a few over there...it doesn't work that way no matter what junk science tells you.   And since humans learned to use fire 500,000 years ago and have been making tools for 2.5 million....these are things Bigfoot would also have mastered.  So where in Kansas (or anywhere in the U.S.) is a large group of primitive humans who use fire and use primitive tools going to live but leave no evidence of their existence?  There isn't any large remote forest areas in Kansas, the ones you do have might pass for a quaint little woods, a woodlot, or grove of trees in my area.   Plus almost all of the forest land in Kansas is in private hands often being used for some type of commercial or private purpose.....hardly a habitat for Bigfoot to live unnoticed.
Time for a funny story.  I have done quite a bit of wilderness travel and on one canoe trip into Canada we were camping on a large island in a large lake.  It had a lot of old growth timber and the forest is quite different...less undergrowth and quite easy to move through.  So I go for a hike (there is no trail) to the other end of the island...about a mile.  When I reach the other end I smugly think...gee I wonder if anyone has been here before.  Then I look down and find an old shoe.  >:(;D  This has actually happened to me twice in remote wilderness areas.  So the point being that there is not one square inch in Kansas that has not been explored/traveled over by countless people in the last couple of hundred years or so.

In our area when you find a shoe in woods, you look up the tree - chances are there is a deer hunter hanging.

Was the hunter trying to steal their dough/doe?

They fell from the tree stand, but never made it from the safety harness, heard of at least two cases in Virginia.

Back on point. There is no "definitive" book on the evolution of the Human Race.
There was similar book called the Naked Ape in the 1970's. Every week they learn something new. This week alone two unkown species of reptiles were found in Australia and people have been wandering aroyund there for quite a while.

The US is not Kansas, this is a fairly empty country with vast Forests. 47% of NY State is Forest.

Is there a Bigfoot? I have no idea. I like the idea of a Bigfoot. I like the idea that something intellegent can elude us, I like the idea there is something we don't know. If they do exist and are intellegent, they would stay away from us. I am sure they observed our willingness to kill, not only things around us, but each other.

Sometimes it is good to leave your mind open to all possibilities, it leaves a bit of wonder in the World.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

You nailed it Bobby. I want to believe as well. We are all just blood, fat, bones and gristle; anything beyond that is hokum. There is no god, no soul, no chupacabra, no aliens....actually of all those an alien is the most logical.

I admire people that believe, and wish I could raise the same veil.  Everyone is stuck. I pity people that think less of someone that has a faith in somthing- anything. Stuck.

Eastern Kansas takes exception to your comment Bobby. We have trees in the eastern part of the state. The wetsern part might argue we stole them away but the Ogallala knows better.  ;)

Just wanting to believe in something doesn't make it so.  There is probably just as much evidence that Santa Claus exists as there is for Bigfoot.  Where do all those presents come from on December 25th?  Then just a couple of years ago I realized it was my parents all along and I was crushed.  Maybe I should lighten up on the Bigfoot bashing....I sure don't want all of you to go through what I recently went through when my dreams were crushed. ;)

What always shocks me is how terrible the footage always is of bigfoots (bigfeet?), aliens, lake monsters, ghosts, etc..  I mean seriously... everybody's got a phone nowadays with an 8 MP camera built into it and yet the only footage we ever see is from the one guy who still owns a camera phone from 2001.  It's always grainy and shaky and out of focus.  7 Billion people walking around with modern cameras and nobody's getting proof of these things' existence?

Here is a nicely focused clear shot of Nessie.  At least I have real hard evidence that I took myself.  The bike on the other hand is a bit out of focus and may be  fake. :D

I had to dredge this back up when I came across this news article.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/05/bigfoot-hunter-rick-dyer-creature-image_n_4538307.html?utm_hp_ref=weird-news&utm_hp_ref=weird-news

The link shows the usual poor quality grainy video  below is a condensed version of the story.

Hunter Rick Dyer says he shot and killed a Bigfoot, and is now preparing to take its body on a tour of America

The problem with all of this is a previous case Dyer was apparently involved in turned out to be a Bigfoot hoax in 2008. An alleged Bigfoot body -- that Dyer and an associate claimed to have -- was exposed as a rubber ape suit.

The only prior evidence Dyer has ever released until now about this new incident was a short, grainy video that he claims shows a Bigfoot standing right outside of his tent near a wooded area on the outskirts of San Antonio.

In an interview from February 2013, Dyer said, "Bigfoot is 100 percent real. There's no question about that. I'm going to go down in history as the best Bigfoot tracker in the world," reported San Antonio's KSAT-TV.

Dyer baited that San Antonio Bigfoot.

"I nailed ... pork ribs from the WalMart down the street to the side of the tree, and low and behold, he came and started eating the pork ribs off the tree," Dyer said.  It was while the creature was allegedly feasting that Dyer supposedly grabbed his cell phone and videotaped him/her.  When the animal reportedly returned, Dyer claims he shot it. He then says he transported the dead Bigfoot to an undisclosed location.

Dyer now says that he had scientific tests performed on the hairy body, "from DNA tests to 3D optical scans to body scans. It is the real deal. It's Bigfoot and Bigfoot's here, and I shot it and now I'm proving it to the world."  Dyer says he'll hold a news conference shortly to reveal the full Bigfoot body and test results.

I am skeptical.....maybe he shot one of those Duck Dynasty guys by mistake. ;)

The other question ...what was Bigfoot doing hanging around a Walmart...did it have a job there?

Great mentality. Shoot it.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I bet nobody saw this coming. ;D

PHOENIX -- Rick Dyer made big news after claiming that he shot and killed a Bigfoot on the outskirts of San Antonio two years ago. He sent out several pictures of what looked a bit like frozen remains of the legendary beast -- or at least a Halloween costume he keeps in his freezer. And he promised a big, national tour.  Dyer was supposed to kick off the tour this week in Phoenix. And, well, we're all here ... waiting. But it seems like Dyer's Bigfoot has stage fright.

The Bigfoot tour was supposed to coincide with the International UFO Congress Conference and Film Festival this week.  But now, it's clear that Bigfoot is a big no-show, amid grumbling from conference attendees that it might just be a big fraud.  The biggest problem that has dogged Dyer for several years is that he admitted being part of a major Bigfoot hoax in 2008.

The national Bigfoot tour -- dubbed the "I Told You So" tour -- was publicized as kicking off this week in Phoenix, Ariz. And just as quickly, the Phoenix leg of the tour was canceled.

The 2008 episode he was in was with another bigfoot researcher that has been proven to be a bigger flake than this one. I was reading a story where him and his camera guy where attacked by another one when he shot this "Bigfoot". Maybe one of these days some one will be able to prove their real.  I still stand by my experience until the day I die.
