Cylinder and cylinder head interchangeability between cb750 years

I have a cb750k1 and I will be using the k1 cylinder head. My question is, what will I have to do in order to mate my cylinder head to a later set of cylinders that has the space for rubber seals between cylinder 1 and 2, and 3 and 4. Please let me know if I am being unclear
