I'm changing my '72 500 Four rear fender & taillight to the '71 style. I owned a '71, bought brand new, back in 1972. The 'gooseneck' rear taillight was only used on the '71 500 Four. I kind of liked it, compared to the later huge rectangular taillight and monstrous bracket.

It was easy to hang your helmet on.

My question is on the fender just above the rubber cone...Is this 'dent' supposed to be there, for some reason??? It's mostly hidden with the license plate on. I don't have the rubber cone yet, so if it's supposed to be 'flat', I can probably push it out...
