Sorry if this is a repeat but I thought I had posted a little while ago and I'm not seeing it. Anyhoo, I think the step up from a mid sized scooter to a mid sized bike is part of the problem but not all. I never felt overwhelmed. I never felt like I was going to drop it. I liked the power. The high redline. I wish my scooter had a manual transmission. I've seen plenty of people start out riding on a big Harley with little or no problem. I like light vehicles. I used to have a 500 Interceptor and I liked that. My cage weighs 2050 pounds and it suits me fine.
Ride it like you stole it from your ex-wife's new husband.

Geez, this thread is like discussing the motorcycling equivalent of a gender identity crisis. And before anyone says real men don't ride scooters, hands up who's ever seen a scooterist wearing chaps? ;D

Two wheels is what we've all got in common mate, hope to see you back sometime.
