The deaf/ASL community (of which I am a part of) are really up in arms about this.  >:( but not at him, only at the astonishing breakdown in security (as far as background checking) that allowed this noobie to get within 3-4 feet of the world's leaders. They didn't even check his creds, or realize that you actually need to be screened and certified to be an interpreter.
