Vetter Fairing install
« on: January 26, 2014, 06:29:15 AM »
I'm installing a Vetter Windjammer IV on my CB 750 K0.  After installing the mount bracket and the fairing I find the clutch and brake levers touch the fairing at the extreme travels.  Has anyone had this problem and come up with a solution?  Moving the handlebars doesn't help.  Will moving the fairing forward slightly and redrilling the fairing and bracket work?

On a lot of the 750's I have bought with fairings they are sometimes equipped with some handlebar set backs that allow for more clearance. Got some around here will dig out and post a pic. If you need them will sell for cheap   ;)

In the heyday of the windjammer your problem occured frequently. The setbacks were the easiest option. Honda auctually changed the stock  bars as time went on so they would work better. Lots of guys put on pullbacks or some other form of changery.

They might not be so popular with this crowd but a jammer makes a bike more comfortable and I rode mine more when I had it.

I have also seen aftermarket bars that fit better than stockers.
