550 seat

I was curious if anybody knew whether or not I can swap a cb650 stock seat with a stock cb550 seat. You know the rounded flat ones? Do they share similar mounting points as far as the hinge goes or is it a completely different set up?

I can't say for sure it will fit but the PO of my '74 550 mounted a seat very much like the 650 and it fits the hinges fine.

I'd be willing to bet that the P.O. used a '78 550K seat, which looks very much like the one you posted. It'll bolt on, but is longer and doesn't quite match up at the tank. It'll work, though.

Not sure about the 650 seat.

I had a CX500 seat on my 550 at one point if thats any help.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.
