Isn't ElCheapo anti-Yamaha though?

If I remember correctly, the dealer told me that the yellow R1 Yamaha has been showing as the LE is actually a special version not even available in the US ???.  I'll admit the LE is sweet but good look finding one that looks exactly like that.

Maybe the dealer was just too lazy to try to find one and didnt want to lose the sale :-\
I pretty much hate those guys but my only other option is to drive over an hour.  They wanted almost $100 to re-line the tank on my 650 and told me I wouldnt be able to buy just the liner anywhere without the full kit including the MEK and HCl which I already had.  I just walked out.  Found it online that day for $15 and probably did a better job than they would have!
Annnnd sorry for getting off topic there

The R1 LE is available in the US. In fact, I believe that North America is the only continent that gets the Yellow/Black LE. Everywhere else, including Canada, gets a very nice dark blue LE version.

I hear dukes are not only expensive to purchase, but to maintain.

I bought both of mine used so I saved a bundle there.  And, I do all my own maintenance (including adjusting the desmo valves) so I save there as well.  Ducatis are actually very easy to work on.  And when it feels like a sportbike day, they are there.   ;D

Mike, are the wheels on your Monster different from stock? They look good. Hell, both bikes look good.

Wait a sec... I'm looking at that Monster photo again. The fender is different? They don't normally cover that much of the wheel do they?

Monster's are excellent. I'm amazed that they haven't really changed the styling at all, yet they still look damn good.

The V-Max I have ridden. No for too long, but long enough to know I like the style but hate how heavy the bars are. They are very impressive. Really I dont know what I want right at this moment.

I love the V-max, but something would have to be done to change the rake and trail on it. Maybe I have gotten too spoiled with the super light action of the bars on the old 750?

there have been many ideas to change the vmax from a straight line bike to a superbike... i'd at least like to see that motor in a handling motorcycle.

Tom ,

I think you need to get yor hands on a used monster, and make the sickest cafe/streetfighter outta it. I mean what would it really take ?

1. Lower the hell outta it
2. Exhaust from hell
3. Remove all un-needed/un-wanted parts to save weight
4. Some lightweight wheels
5. Little custom solo seat
It could be like the Monster above - just evil-er.....
Think about it , as it could open up a whol enew business for Anubis...

The wheels are stock but powdercoated black.  The front fender is off a Supersport.  Just a couple of custom touches on that bike.   ;D

It might even be the same yellow as the Superlight.  This winter she's going to get her wheels powdercoated black, new tires, chain and sprockets.  Right now she's out of commission due to chipped teeth on the rear sprocket (just say no to aluminum sprockets; wear too fast).

Neat looking bikes!  I like how the headers go in and then bend forward together before going back under the frame..  Artwork it 'tis.

I loved my "super" bikes.  Wish that I had a larger garage - two cars take up too much room.  I never kept my super bikes very long, I would sell them after a year or two.  I became bored with them for some reason.  It certainly wasn't because of their performance.  I think that my love for tinkering with mechanical stuff wasn't being fulfilled with those bikes.  The CB750 cured all of that.  I do miss the sheer power, handling, and reliability of those bikes, but they are machines to be respected.  I did this too often (see photos) and decided that maybe a less powerful and heavier bike might help me keep my license a bit longer.

Kick ass Sparty!

That ZRX pic looks like you're going around a corner on one wheel. Either that, or it was a rough landing! ;D My Superhawk was ridiculously easy to wheelie. Damn it was fun. Never got any photos though.

I think that GSXR wheelie would be classified as a "horn mono."
