Help lower brake line direct in to caliper
« on: April 03, 2014, 12:52:20 PM »
Please help. I am installing new brake lines, done the top 1 weeks ago when I fitted a new EBC rotor and pads , worked much better than standard rotor and pads.  So I am installing the lower brake line direct to caliper with a banjo and bolt. It's all fits ok. But do I need to remove the conical in the caliper , iff I do can I pull it out or dig it out somehow ? Please help.

id remove it (insert a screw and pull it out) and put copper crush washers on with the new bolt.

Agreed, when I did one, I screwed a tapered wood screw into it. Kept turning and the fitting started to spin and pulled right out.

Before I was schooled on removing them I cut the banjo bolt down, and added some washers. Crude but it worked.

Better to extract the cone though.   :D
