Nighthawk 700s

Ok. I know this is the SOHC page but hopefully someone can help. I just purchased a '84 700s. The front brake pulse, very noticeable when you hit them hard. I have bled the lines.

What might cause this other than warped rotors and are warped rotors common among bikes?

Warped rotors are the most likely culprit, I think. I personally have never had a bike that had that problem, but have seen it, now and again. Usually on bikes on which the owner has not kept on top of brake maintenance, where the piston has gradually seized in the caliper, therefore dragging slightly all the time and creating heat in the brake rotor.

I'll pull the front wheel and disks and check the run out. Aftermarket discs are not too bad at $135 ea. Honda OEM would run over $600 for the pair. Ouch!

Warped rotors all the way. Just got done dealing with pulsing brakes in an auto and it was the rotors that were warped and causing the brake pedal to pulse.
