1&4 timing over advance
« on: October 21, 2014, 09:52:01 AM »
76 cb 550. So I'm good with the strobe at F on all cylinders at idle.Advance good on 2-3 but 1-4 it over advances past the marks. Weak spring perhaps? Leave it be or should I try to adjust the plate to settle @ the advance marks and not worry bout the idle(it will retard the idle me thinks?) ideas? Thanks!

Weak springs affect both 1-4, 2-3. Adjust 1-4 when OK, 2-3. Points gap very important
