400f front end gudder
« on: May 19, 2014, 03:48:06 AM »
Hi one and all, well I still have my front end gudder that I though was the fork oil being to thick, but now I have changed it for ATF its' still the same, but now having checked the front tyre.
( I have noticed the tyre is running out of true, by about 8 mm,
do you think this will give me the same experience.)

I don't want to buy a new tyre if it's not necessary, as the the tread is good. :-[

I have deflated the tyre, loosened to tyre bead and applied so washing up liquid, reinflated it , but it still the same

Look around the bead there should be a bit of fabric equally  visible the full circumference of the bead on both sides. If it isn't equal then your bead isn't seated properly. If it is even then I would suspect a separated tyre, which will need replacing.

Have you checked the run out at the rim? If its out then your wheel will need truing, that is spokes correctly tensioned.

That too, I keep forgetting that most of these bikes still have spokes.
