I'm color blind and so is my brother, but my sisters are fine. It limited what I could do in the army, as I was classified "CP4, Dangerous/Unsafe" but in a way it set me up for a good civilian job as a defence contractor now that I'm retired from the regular army.
My brother once worked for an auto paint store where he sometimes had to "eye match" car paint, not surprisingly that job was quite short lived!
I often confuse dark green or blue with black, but otherwise I'm fine, and the interesting thing is that in WW2 the army used color blind guys in the Pacific theatre as forward scouts, because we aren't confused by camouflage. Also, quite often our "night vision" is superior to that of "unimpaired" people. Like a lot of disabilities, you lose something here, but you pick up something else there.
I wonder if I can legally park in a handicapped spot? Cheers, Terry.
