I have a 74 350F1 that has been sitting and I intend to start cleaning up.

Curious if anyone knows the production run for the 350F1?

I searched but only found start numbers.

OK, how about another approach...

I notice serial numbers are often obscured on here. Not sure why, but if it's important then could you share a ballpark number of your bike?

My 350F1 is just shy of the 4000 mark.

Anyone higher?

I also have the 1974 CB350F1. My Vin is over the 7000 mark, so I would assume production was greater than that.

The 74 models in North America were only available in the Glory Blue-Black Metallic colour - no other year and Honda model had that colour. In Europe in seems that colour was not available but instead they had a silver colour for 1974, with the same side-panel emblems as on the earlier years. It had white "Four" lettering instead of the orange as on mine.

It's because people don't want NSA knowing their bike's VIN. I have one, I'll look at it when I get home. I think Hondachopper has something like this but I'm pretty sure it's 750 numbers only.

52174. That's what my VIN ends in. NSA as in National Security Agency... spy scandal, etc, etc... It was an attempt at humor.

So the "winner" so far is - a little over 7000, which could be the last little 350F ever made!

Oh, sorry. Mine's a F0. I didn't notice that when I read the post. The bike is titled as a '73.

its OK, we can track both

so far out of 40+ in the registry for 350's

UPDATE

72 - 73's - F0 - ENDED at # -1064253 for USA bikes (forum info)
74 - F1 - 2007141 (forum photo)

thanks for the colour info 'nutrider...oh that doesn't truncate nicely...

anyway I love the Glory Blue-black metallic, but unfortunately mine was very faded when I picked up the bike way back, and now its toast. Not sure what I will do.

Is yours still original paint?

I wonder how successful people have been at reproducing that colour? Searched and found your thread and link for vintagehondapaint, but for the '74, not much info

Mine is the original colour and the tank was generally pretty good, except for a silly gold triangle stripe painted over top down the middle. The side panels were toast as the paint had all wrinkled. With careful blending of some black metallic from auto spays I was able to somewhat match and respray the panels and over the tank top. I also think I had to do one of the fork ears as it was bent-up some. It is no-where perfect, but looks ok and much better than before.

The 64000 or so number probably comes from the table listed in the Parts Manual, but it corresponds to the numbers for the US market only. There are higher ranges given in that table for other world markets. There is also some overlapp of the numbers for various countries, so I doubt the 64000 number is correct for just the US market. Not certain but I think not. The American Honda Motor Co. (AHM) is a subsidiary of Honda that looks after only the US, while Canadian imports have always been through a separate organization. AHM was established in 1959. I suspect the Canadian numbers were included with "General export".

Listed below is a great website to keep in your favorite's section. It has most of the motorcycles Honda manufactured. Copy the link and paste into your internet browser. Scroll down to CB350 and look for CB350F. There you will find starting serial numbers for the model years.

Most likely, you will never find an ending number. If the serial number on your bike begins with
1, it was produced in 1972 - 73. If it begins with 2, it was produced in 1974.

The 1st link is the same book that I downloaded from this site, and does not have the '74 numbers. The second is new to me, and is much clearer. Now I am trying to figure out the differences between the two.

Since we're on the subject, other than paint schemes, any differences in the F0 and F1? I've owned quite a few of these over the years but they've all been '73s and either FMR or CBO.
