Only by shooting one - or both.  I would never try to wrestle white tail deer.

I would if they were #$%*ing up my lawn. They are not white tails they are Island deer. Smaller than a white tail because of smaller food sources.

Pretty cool.  Almost as interesting as my neighbors rolling around on the lawn at midnight fighting.  :o

Believe that they are Blacktail deer (a subspecies of Mule deer) if we are trying to be precise.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Could be Cal, I know that the hunters in Comox claimed they would dress out about 60-80 lbs less than a white tail and I would trust them because they were the people the married guys would give their deer tags to, to fill their freezers.
Of course being an airforce station there were guys from the east coast to the west coast that had hunted in different parts of the country.

I think Cal is correct. They have shorter yet stocky builds. Their tail are a Lil different as well.

In SE AK  the real hunters are out the first day of hunting season tracking them up into the woods. Others wait until the snow is down to the tide line and they hang out, drink and wait for them to walk along the shore line and blast 'em.

Dressed out and hung up they look like a large dog.
